Image Manipulation is a side project of mine that uses various softwares to create a new image that aims to reveal something about the original image. The original image is often manually distorted, corrupted or moshed, then taken into an AI image generator where the outcome isn’t so controlled. The images generated by the AI are then taken into Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator where the images can be layered on top of each other and blended together. The main components of the original image often find themselves in this new image through strategic manipulation and layering. Each image goes through this process a little differently, especially since the AI generator is never exactly what is being sought out. In this portfolio, the process of manipulation, as well as the purple, orange, and blue blocks, create a similarity between every image even though the images all reveal different things and hope to tell different stories about their respective projects.
